Revd. Marc Catley has retired.

Dear Parishioners,

On July 1st I retired from my post as vicar of St.Thomas Nuthurst and St.Giles Packwood. This is due to ill health. I had hoped to go on working for another six years, but this was not to be. I plan to retire to Dorset to be near my family.

My time as your vicar has been rewarding and enjoyable. I have learned and grown so much. I have been very well supported throughout by great teams in both parishes. It has been a joy to launch new initiatives these last twelve years, highlights include a monthly Messy Church, a regular mid-week communion and a bereavement group Living With Loss. Bible studies, often held at the vicarage were a great way to grow as disciples and learn more about each other; at St.Thomas we worked through all eight parts of the Church of England Pilgrim course, and for St.Giles we met for three terms each year for several years.

I have made many good friends here. I will miss you all when I go. I have been given permission to remain at the vicarage until my accommodation has been finalised and so there will be ample time to say goodbye.

Revd. Marc Catley.
